Easy DIY Coastal Decor with Burlap!

I have an obsession with coastal décor. And this isn’t just because I grew up at the beach: It’s because the beach is just so darn pretty. I love it all—starfish, sea horses, waves, sand, shells, sea glass, dolphins, and I could go on, and on, and on (but this would be a really long blog post). But since I’ve been living in New Orleans I’ve been in beach decor withdrawal. At home everyone decorates their houses with paintings of the ocean, or lamps filled with sea glass, or sand dollar coasters. But here, no one decorates beachy! And I guess that makes sense because there are no real beaches here, but still, I needed some beach in my life. So, this project was a must. I fell in love with some 6x6 stretched burlap blocks at Michaels and thought of a few project ideas before settling on what to do with them.
