For a juice choice that has simple, easy-to-find ingredients, this detox green juice recipe is what it’s all about. It contains veggies with high alkalinity, which naturally mellow out acid reflux, and great sources of potassium, anti-inflammatories and natural antibiotics.
Hot Apple Cider Vinegar Hot Toddy
Apple cider vinegar has used been a home remedy for quite some time. There have been numerous studies on its varying health benefits of apple cider vinegar – from diabetes to weight loss. Aside from health bonuses, this drink is simple and easy to make, it won’t hurt your wallet and you’ll love how it tastes.
– Apple cider vinegar, which is high in acetic acid – an antimicrobial – may lower blood sugar and help with weight loss. (1 tablespoon)
– Lemon for taste and its vitamin C and antibacterial power. (Just a squeeze)
– Honey as a natural sweetener. (1 teaspoon)
– Cinnamon to spice up the flavor and give a little anti-inflammatory boost. (A dash added to the mix)
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add the vinegar, lemon juice, honey and cinnamon. Stir and enjoy your healthy hot toddy before bed. It’ll taste so good, you’ll forget you’re doing something good for your gut, rather than just enjoying a nice cup of hot apple cider.
